I have a friend who is using DotNetNuke for a site hosting catalogs.

When you click the View Now (green) button, everything works correctly, but if you click the Download (red) button, about 99% of the file will download, then it will stop.

Looking at the HTML, the green button is a normal <a> style hyperlink, while the red button is an input control for a form.

Is this a configuration fault he has made?

thanks in advance, Dan

4.4.1.

I am just looking at this for a friend and I do not have access to the server, but I can log in and configure it for him.  If this is a common dnn problem, then it is possible that I can change something from his login that will fix this problem.

thanks, Dan

Could be the size of the file being downloaded exceeds the size set in web.config.

It's not the size of the file as it's only 3.12 MB and everytime I've seen a file size that exceeds the web.config's limit it throws a timeout error vs a frozen download.

Is that a particular module that he's using or just a TEXT/HTML module that's been coded? Is there any compression turned on? Can you download the file through the File Manager or by going directly to the file (bypassing DNN completely)?
