4.5.1

I'm trying to use the scheduler to synchronise my filesystem but get the following in Events:

InnerException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
FileName:
FileLineNumber: -1
FileColumnNumber: -1
Method:
StackTrace:
Message: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Services.FileSystem.FolderController.GetMappedDirectory(String VirtualDirectory) at DotNetNuke.Entities.Portals.PortalInfo.get_HomeDirectoryMapPath() at DotNetNuke.Services.FileSystem.SynchronizeFileSystem.Synchronize() at DotNetNuke.Services.FileSystem.SynchronizeFileSystem.DoWork()

Also, when I try to open the Image selector in FCKEditor and click 'Browse Server' I get this:

A critical error has occurred.
String cannot be of zero length. Parameter name: oldValue

Anyone got any clues what's going on and how can I force a synchronisation of the File Manager?

please try a manual recursive file sync from inside the File Manager in admin menu (use button in upper right corner).

Thanks. I tried that with the 'Recursive' checked. When I click on the + next to the 'Portal Root' folder, the AJAX icon spins, then no Folders are shown underneath.

I also still get the same error on clicking 'Browse Server' in the FCKEditor.

It looks like things are out of synch between FS and DB - is there any way to flush the DB of the File Structure that it thinks it has and repopulate it from the FS?

I guess that's what the manual Synchronize Files is suposed to do but it's not having any effect.

Steve,

if you clear files and folders information in your database, you will get problems with several modules, that use fileID and folderID instead of paths. There seams to be an invalid folder entry in your folders table, I suggest to check it manually in your database.
