Hi, we've got a dnn site with about 20 subsites. We configured the urls like this:

www.website.com
www.website.com/portal1
www.website.com/portal2
etc..

Now, I want every site to have it's own statistics.
The only thing is, I don't want the database to fill up with statistical garbage, so I turned the site log off.
The best thing I think would be to use IIS log files, only I don't think it can handle /portal1 as a seperate site.
So this is not a real good alternative.
Another thing might be to use file based logging, only file based logging does not use friendly url's, so for the end user it doesn't give much information about the site.

Does anyone have any experience with this

Personally I use Google Analytics for all of my tracking, It works like a charm!

If you have an option to use subdomains (parent portals), instead of sub folders (child portals), you could just use the IIS log files (provided you set IIS to log the host name in the log file). I am using smarterstats (from smartertools), works like a charm as well.... (smarterstats can be set to filter on host name)
