Has anyone had any luck installing content to either the /bin or /App_GlobalResources directory as part of a module installation ?

I would like to add a resx file to the App_Globalresources and possibly some other dll's to the /bin directory.

I'll keep playing with my DNN file for now!

For the .dll files I believe you can simply list them in the .dnn file and it will automatically move them to the bin folder, at least that is how my dll's move for all of my compiled modules.

yes, the dll's look like the easy case, but I am having a heck of time moving out other shared resources for an asp.net 2.0 application, such as ASP.NET Themes or global resx files.

is FTP the only other way go get these resources to the site ?

Mitchel is correct that any .dll file will be placed into the \bin folder simply by listing it in a <file> node without specifying a path.  As for App_GlobalResources, I seem to recall that a while back I had to place files into the /Portals/0 folder during a module install and think the following file node in the .dnn manifest would work in a like manner:

<file>
    <path>..\..\App_GlobalResources</path>
    <name>MyResourceFilename.resx</name>
  </file>

This assumes that your module folder is one level below the DesktopModules folder.

Thank You imagemaker.

That did the trick, it pays to remember the basics!
