I have DNN 4.4.1 which I upgraded to 4.5.1. This resulting in Skins and Security Roles won't start. Then I try to upgrade to 4.5.3, this gone very bad. The site won't show at all. And all the settings in web.config is set up correctly.

I have installed a fresh 4.5.3, and it have no problems.

Now I have this plan: Install a fresh 4.5.3 and move content from my old db to this new one. Can this be done ? And how do I move ex. users over to the new db ? It was simple in mysql, where you can export to a text file, and then you could import it in the new db, but this procedure I don'r know how to do in MSSQL.

Thanks in advance.

transferring content is possible, but Í do not recomment it between different DNN versions. try figure out the upgrade issues and eliminate them is the preferred way to go,
