I'm still not getting this to work. I am using the install files since I am setting up a new DNN 4.5.3 installation.  I have all the sites on the IIS set for ASP.NET 2. I'm using SQL Server 2005, and I'm pretty sure that is set up OK.  I did delete the temporary files, and re-extracted the DNN files to an empty directory (just to make sure).  Nothing works so far.  I noticed some other thread mention that he used the source files, but that seems odd.  I would think the install should work.

Any thoughts on other things that might be wrong?

mitchel.sellers@gmail.com wrote I would try clearing your "Temporary ASP.NET Files" for the virtual directory.  I just encountered this error myself.I would also re apply the upgrade package files to the site to ensure that all files are correct!

So i did clean out my temp ASP.NET files and got passed the Common.Global error now I get this error.

 Server Error in '/DotNetNuke' Application.
