When I had only my own portal on my server, I uploaded a skin pack with 10 skins and a 3rd party Store module to the HOST. Now that I am hosting another portal, I want to limit the availability of skins by portal. How can I accomplish this without deconstructing a portal that is already using skins from the Host?

move the skin folder from /portals/_default/_skins to /portals/0/skins and reapply it to your web site

thanks for that advice, Leupold. That fixed up the skins problem.

The Store software added a lot of modules that were uploaded to the host, the same as the skins. I have created a Containers folder under the desired portal and copied the store folder from /portals/_default/containers to it. However the Store modules still appear in the Module Control Panel on the site where they should not be available. I'm guessing the modules are loaded into the database and have to be deleted and reapplied somehow. Can you speak to this issue?

The Store is a set of modules not a container :)

If you move those files back to where you found them, and then go to "Host - Module Definitions", you can edit the Store module (pencil icon) tick the "Premium" box, which lets you say which portals are allowed to use it.  Note that Store actually consists of many modules, so you need to make each one premium.

Yes, the store certainly is a set of modules! There are about 20 modules that had to be touched as you recommended which is an incredibly tedious but rewarding process, since now the portals are behaving just as I had hoped.

Many thanks for your prompt and lucid help with this.
