Hi,

I'm just wondering if anybody knows how to stop the following message from displaying when the mouse is moved over a flash object:

'click here to activate and use this control'.

I'm not sure if it displays on all browsers but it does with Internet explorer.

Any ideas?

Kind regards,

Matt.

This is a restriction Microsoft imposed through a recent security patch to comply with a patent dispute with a company named Eolas. The workaround is to dynamically inject the HTML embed code using Javascript. This is made simple with SWFObject.

Does anyone have an example of using the SWFObject in a text/html module?

Here is a way for it described, where a line is added to the skin files:

And if you don't necessarily need the text/htm-module, there is the digFlash-module you can download for free. It uses swfobject.

 <div id="chartdiv2" align="center">
<script type="text/javascript">
 var myChart = new FusionCharts("/Charts/MSColumn2D.swf?ChartNoDataText=No Data Available", "myChartId", "400", "300", "0", "0");
 myChart.setDataURL("/Portals/11/UsersEquip.xml");
 myChart.render("chartdiv2");
 </script>
</div>

I place the javascript file in the js folder in the root of my DNN install and reference it via a script tag in the header in the page management under page header tags
