Hi,

I recently installed 4.5.3 to a godaddy root directory. I used the article that Ismet wrote as a template.

I am receiving an error message that says:

Failed to map the path '/App_Code/HTML /'.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.Web.HttpException: Failed to map the path '/App_Code/HTML /'.

Source Error:
An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below.

Now it looks to me that the problem is that there is a space in App_Code/HTML /. How and where can I fix that? I tried rewriting messing with the directory settings in both GoDaddy and Filezilla to be absolutely sure that space wasn't there.

Help? Thanks in advance.

Jim

In the web.config is a code sub-directory node.  You can try that.

John,

Thanks for your reply. It looks as though the space is trimmed out in the web.config file as well. However, if that has already been deployed to GoDaddy's server, is there anything special I have to do to make sure godaddy is looking at the new web.config file instead of the old one?

Thanks,

Jim

No... Typically when you change the web.config the .NET 2.0 framework will realize this and begin using it.  Sometime I may have to logout of the application and back in again but that takes care of it.
