I don't recognise it.  A suggestion I have is to fix the width as on my 1920 resolution screen the design is VERY spread out and doesnt look very good.

Cheers

Man, now I understand why there are less full width skins nowadays. Thanks for letting me know.

Besides, how do you gonna browse the internet? If a skin is fixed width, it'll probably fit 50% of your screen.

My suggestion is to not make it a fixed width.

If it is fluid then the end user with a wide screen can always resize their window, but as pointed out there is no way for them to allow it to be wider if you fix the width.

The thing is though John that Im sure im not the only one using a tabbed browser which means im not going to resize my window just to make someones site look passable.  The best solution is like what DNN has with the ability to set the size of the page (power to the user).

Cheers

Whoosh! After an entire morning I am able to convert my skin to fixed wdth (1000px). It's much tougher than I thought, especially when dealing with the differences between the rendering methods of IE & FF. First, the padding problem. And then the vertical-align value doesn't have any effects inside <div>. Anyway, I've found out the way to make it work. You can refer to my skin to see the details (the Login and Register section). I'm a little over-excited, since this is the most complicated skin I've ever designed (graphic optimization, css hacks...)

I eventually decide to fix the skin's width because it can suit every people (unless there's still someone using 800 x 600) : fits the screen with 1024px , looks good with 1256px, not bad with 1500 and not so terrible with 1900 (probably). After all, it's the designer's responsiblity to bring his users the most comfortable environment. And Philip, if you don't mind, can you upload a screenshot , so I can imagine how it looks like in wider screen?

Thanks for your helps, John and Philip.
