Chris I'm alittle confused by this one as I came accross it myself today on my development wiki http://ewds.strath.ac.uk/Development.aspx I tried to quote in some asp.net and it displayed the whole topic as plain text I tracked the issue down to the security parsing that is being performed upon the text as it is saved.

  1. why is the text being passed in this manner when the Text/HTML module does not implement this security?
  2. Why is it set to a blanket no scripting and not to NO SQL?
  3. Have the security team been able to pinpoint what sets the filter off in the case of visible / URL encoded HTML?

This has been corrected, at least from all my testing, in the next release of the module. DNN 4.5.3 had a change to the way the filters worked and it completely hosed the Wiki if you put in any < or >

The filtering mechanism the Wiki utilizes in the next release is now a different method which appears to work just fine.

Hello,

I'm a bit confused with this issue ... the previous post says it was corrected, but it appears I still have this problem.

Anytime I insert the < symbol, it displays the whole html source code in the Wiki.

I am running the lastest versions of Dnn and of the Wiki module.

Any hint ?

Thanks

Johann

When you say your running the latest version of the wiki ... Are you running the current beta 4.1.0 as the current "release" 4.0.1 does still contain the problem.

Hope that helps

John

Is this problem happening again in version 4.01. ?

I try to insert HTML code in my Wiki page, but when I save, the whole page is displayed in HTML.
What I want to do is display some HTML source like here:

http://www.engagemodules.com/Modules/EngagePublish/PublishWiki/tabid/66/topic/TextHTMLReplacement/Default.aspx

but it does not work work with the newest Wiki version and DNN 4.9.1 (or is it a FCKEditor problem ?)

Thanks,

Juergen
