I've been poking around and googling on this for a little bit, but I'm not getting anywhere. It seems like it should be a fairly straightforward thing, but the announcements I'm entering in the Announcements module are not appearing when I save them (in admin or host view) or when I view the site as a non-logged-in user. I did have an odd error show up when I tried to install the module, along the lines of can't create a shadow file of a file that already exists, but when I refreshed the module showed up in the drop down at the top of the page in admin mode. It allows me to make announcement entries and they show up in the database when I query it, but I can't see them on the module itself under any view I can come up with (user/admin/host). I suspect some kind of permission issue, but as far as I can tell the perms are as they need to be.

I'm currently running the 4.41 version of DotNetNuke using the Visual Web Developer environment (MS freebie). I used the starter kit installation kit to create the site and added the Announcement module do the default site. Any hints where I might be missing something? Thanks from a hopeful noob. :-)
