Hi :)
First, I will pay my tribute to the people who continue to develope DNN. Thank you! I've used DNN since v. 2.0, and I'm pleased to see that I've done the right choice.

Secondly, in many years users (like you, me, your mother and my neighbor grandfather) have been demanding multi language sites and I feel the need to query the plans to integrate multilanguage content in the DNN core and core modules.

Sure, ML is available using third party products, but I don't feel those products suit large and relative complex sites. I also believe that multilanguage in DNN is a evolvement that has to be developed and maintained by the core team. In the long run, I can't see how third party developers can deliver ML enabled products that depend on external products, i.e. Locopons DSLocalizator.

I think the first step would be to integrate ML in the core (i.e. the DSLocalizator), this would encourage core module developers to consider this option and it would be easier for customers (like myself) to requests this in third party products.

Vicenç, I am convinced that this will be implementet in in future versions. The question is when. Do the previous statement "not before 5.0" still apply? Please say no :)

With kind regards,
Steinar

the statement "not before 5.0" still applies ;).. sorry

If you will be able to attend OpenForce 07 (http://www.devconnections.com/openforce/), i will co-present a session that will propose a method to easily localize modules. I hope that proposals made in that session will in some way trickle down to the DNN core

Thank you for the invitation, but I don't think I can prioritize a visit to Las Vegas for this subject :) Nevertheless, I trust there will be a whitepaper from your session?

I am new to DotNetNuke but multi-language support is important to me because I reside in a bilingual environment (Quebec). How do DNN users support multi-lingual sites? Do they make seperate pages for each language or do they do something else?

Thanks,
