Not sure if this is the proper place for this question. But I am tryign to configure DNN3 for use as an internal BBS for my company. My place of employment has a lot of clinical forms used by our clinical staff and I was wanting to be able to upload a lot of files in a certain directory structure. In other words Id like to upload the files with all the documents in them and be able to set the permissions on the folders rather than the individual docs and be able to have it extract the description from the file properties. If my question is unclear email me at john.osenbaugh@rightstep.com or place a reply here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also if the module costs money I need to be SURE that it works before I get approval from the higher ups :)

I would check out Speerio File Manager.  It is well tested and been around for at least 1.5 years.  Plus Speerio is headed up by a core team member.  You can find it on www.speerio.com or snowcovered.com.
