Hello,

I have a DNN 4.1xxx installation. I want to pass parameters to another web app. This will basically be the userid, username and other login info. from the DNN portal. I'm not sure how to do this. I'm fairly new to .net but have extensive programming experience so I think a good tutorial will do. Better yet some sample code or point me in the rigth direction.

Regards,

Framirez

how shall the other application be called? replacing DNN, as new window, popup or in an iFrame?

Thanks for your response.

It will be called from DNN to accomplished a specific task such as filling a form and after submitting then returning back to DNN

It could be on a new window. I have tested with iFrame and it works nicely. What I need is to be able to control the access rights to this form and also to pass on some DNN user info.

Regards

in this case, the latest version of iFrame module shall fit your needs, you can pass a number of configurable parameters, that will be passed to the target application. If your application is accessible publically via Internet, you will need  to care for additional security.

Hi,

You can try with HTML module, javascript and DNN tokens. Add code to HTML module - for example:
<script>document.location.href='http://mysecondpage.com/page.aspx?userid=[User:UserID]'</script>

I did not check if this works, it is just an idea...

Kind regards,

Primoz
