Hi,

Just out of curiosity, on average how often (disregarding caching) does DNN query the database pr page load?
Only one call pr load or is it module dependant?

I'm working for a small software company and developing a custom designed module-based CMS. However, our current design leaves us with one db-hit pr module, which seems not very efficient. How does DNN handle multiple modules querying the db?

Regards,
Sjur

It depends on the page and how many modules, and which user is logged in, but without the caching the DB is hit many times on each page load.

One hit per module is not unreasonable.
