I have been trying to upgrade my install of DNN to 4.5.x for a while now and keep having to give up and restore my backups to get the site working. The problems is that no matter which version of 4.5. I use I cannot get it to automatically log on a user using windows authentication. I have had the site setup and working in 4.4.1 for quite some time, but this new version just is not working. These are the settings that I have used since the begining, but i have also tried other ways to get this to work. Has anyone gotten this to work, and if so could you point me in the right direction to get this running again?

Also, I do not seem to be able to get the sections of the web.config file to stay in my post.

Ok, I usually use windows only authentication for my site. When I use this in 4.5.3 the site loops like I have seen described in other threads. When I set it to forms authentication it lets me authenticate using my username and password. I cannot get it to authenticate automatically though.

so, just go back to 4.4.1 till this is "fixed" once again?
