I just got off the phone with godaddy. Because a former employee (who is now hostile) of my organization intermingled things, we may need to move my dotnetnuke to a new hosting account. The goddady staff told me that when I added dotnetnuke thru my cpanel with them, it created an account with dotnetnuke and is hosted by dotnetnuke. He said when I bring up my dotnetnuke sites, I'm actually logging in to a server that does not belong to godaddy.

This doesn't seem right but I need to know how I'm going to move my dotnetnuke account info to a new hosting account. I don't have my own backups and don't know what is involved with that.

Can someone help/confirm what godaddy said and who I contact at 'Dotnetnuke' about my content (if that's the case)?

Thanks in advance.

If you have a DotNetNuke installation that is hosted on a domain that you have through GoDaddy it is hosted on their server.

TO migrate to a different hosting provider you will need to get a backup of the database and all files from GoDaddy's location and then you can move it to your new host.  You will need to modify some settings to get it up and running on the new location.

I have tutorials that discuss this on my blog site http://www.mitchelsellers.com
