When I declare a variant

Dim objMyProfileInfo As New DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserInfo
Dim objMyProfileController As New DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserController

And using it

objMyProfileController.UpdateUser(PortalId, objMyProfileInfo)

And Visula Stuido show warning :

Warning 1 Access of shared member, constant member, enum member or nested type through an instance; qualifying expression will not be evaluated. I:\Develop\Project\DNN4\Auction\DesktopModules\Auction\JoinAuction.ascx.vb 132 27 I:\...\Auction\

Anybody can tell me why ???
Pls. Thank in advance.

sounds like UpdateUser is a shared member and you should access it as

DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserController.UpdateUser(PortalId, objMyProfileInfo)

The warning is telling you the compiler will ignore the instance objMyProfileController
