Hello,

I have a datalist on the Settings.ascx page for my module, this list is developed the same as the View page is using the EditUrl function. I want this list to be editable to a custom Edit page, which is only needed for setup of the module. When I click on the edit link from within the Settings page I am presented with no module, I can see that the ModuleID is not being passed from the Settings link that I create with EditUrl. When I modify the URL and put the correct ModuleID it works.

What can I do to have the ModuleID populated in this link, is there something special to do because this is a Settings page and not a view page?

Thanks

Lou

I figured this out, I changed from using EditUrl to using NavigateUrl and it is now working.

Origin Code

<asp:HyperLink ID="HyperLink1" NavigateUrl='<%# EditURL("ItemID",DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem,"ItemID"),"EditCategory") %>' Visible="true" runat="server"><asp:Image ID="Image1" Runat=server ImageUrl="~/images/edit.gif" AlternateText="Edit" Visible="true" resourcekey="Edit"/></asp:hyperlink>

New code

<asp:HyperLink ID="HyperLink2" NavigateUrl='<%# DotNetNuke.Common.Globals.NavigateUrl("EditCategory","mid=" & Me.ModuleId) %>' Visible="true" runat="server"><asp:Image ID="Image2" Runat=server ImageUrl="~/images/edit.gif" AlternateText="Edit" Visible="true" resourcekey="Edit"/></asp:hyperlink>
