Hi all,

I am running DNN 4.05.01 (actually GoDaddy is running it for me) and the Edit capabilities of the Admin login are gone. I can log in as Admin and/or SuperUser, but only SuperUser has Edit capabilities. When DNN was first installed, the Admin Edit mode worked fine. Now, even in Edit mode, there is no way to edit the content of the modules. When logged in as Admin, the Edit menu item is gone as is the Edit icon that floats above the content fields.

I do not see a way to restore the Admin Edit capability. Can I?

Thanks,

Chris

Look in the top left of the control panel and switch the Mode to Edit.

Even in Edit mode, there is no option to select edit text from the module menus, nor is the edit icon displayed over the content areas of the modules. Only when I log in as "SuperUser" are the edit capabilities available. As Admin, I used to be able to edit the content, but no longer.

The behavior more specifically is:

When I am logged in as Admin but in View mode, I can see the module content (but obviously not edit it)

When I switch to Edit mode, the module content disappears and I do not get any edit options in the menu drop downs nor so I get the edit icon floating over the module content area. The title bars are still intact and editable, but the "body" content is not.

It's like the Edit permissions for the Admin login have been disabled somehow.

That sounds like design mode.

You are correct sir! Thanks! [I thought I had tried that. Apparently not...]
