I have DNN 4.03.05 currently installed and running.  When I tried to install a new skin I recieved the following error:

Error: Skins is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: M:\Web\Users\V002U05CQV\html\Admin\Skins\EditSkins.ascx.vb(414): error BC30456: 'FromFile' is not a member of 'Image'. ---> System.Web.HttpCompileException: M:\Web\Users\V002U05CQV\html\Admin\Skins\EditSkins.ascx.vb(414): error BC30456: 'FromFile' is not a member of 'Image'. at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.CompileWebFile(VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultInternal(VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultWithNoAssert(HttpContext context, VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(String virtualPath) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Skin.InjectModule(Control objPane, ModuleInfo objModule, PortalSettings PortalSettings) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

The error appears when I log in as host and select the skin option under the host tab.  I have tried searching for a possible solution and I cann't seem to track one down.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What SKIN are you trying to use? Do you have any asp:image tags in the skin?

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the response.  I checked our current skin (the css, html, xml, and ascx) files for asp:image and came up empty.  I also checked the primary containers that we use.  I'm stumped.  When I log in as host and try to select skins from the host menu I get that error, otherwise everything works perfectly.  I'm not gettting any errors on any other page.  My plan today was to ftp in and remove all the skins and containers with the exception of the one needed to keep the site live.  I'm not sure if that will help or not.

Thanks again for the help.

Andy

Do you get that error immediately when loading the SKINS page, or after selecting a skin on that page? I can't say I've seen that error before..

Unfortunately I am never able to get to the page that I can select a skin, instead the site returns the above error.  Interestingly enough I can upload skins through the Host Settings Tab (discovered the upload option yesterday...always before I went through the skins page).  Yesterday I was able to upload/install a skin and select it for a particular page.  Now that I can upload and select skins again through Host Settings I can live with the Skins tab not working.  The work around lets me do what I need to do, having said that I would still really like to figure out how to get Skins Tab working again.

Thanks again for all your help!

Andy
