I get this error when using the following method in any custom module code:

A critical error has occurred.
Method not found: 'System.Collections.ArrayList DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.ModuleControlController.GetModuleControls(Int32)'.

This effectively breaks any module that were dependant on this method. As a developer with customers that depend on this method (which is existant in Intellisence when I compile the module) I am quite frustrated by this undocumented (or possibly unintentional) change..

Core Team:  This was introduced in DNN 451 and persists in DNN 453.  This method exists in the controller, and the stored procedure exists, but i suspect that the method has been removed or changed in the dataprovider.

Has any one found a solution to this? We too are experiencing this error.

Thanks for your help.

As I had also used this method in a module written a while back, I ran a test of calling this method in both DNN 4.5.5 and 4.6.2 without problems and also looked at the ModuleControlController and associated provider sources to see if any changes had been made but found none. The method has not been deprecated.

In what version of DNN did the error occur? Source or Install installation?

Note also that this method is shared (static in C#) so should be called via the class ModuleControlController rather than an instance of the class.  I have seen similar errors occur (not sure why as it should work either way) when a shared method was called through an instantiated class object.
