I am wondering if it is possible to add an image via the resource file? I tried this to find only broken links.....so I figure either I am doing it wrong or it can't be done.
<img src="~\school\Portals\27\icons\viewsIcon.png">

did i just write the path wrong? I know all the file names and locations are correct.

DNN resource files are for localization only. You can however specify a skin image to be used instead of text, please refer to the skinning guide (availble from documentation download page) for details.

Mark,

this can be done, but not in that direct way. What I would do is store on the resx file the path for the image and the user localization.GetString to get that path. One thing you have to be aware of is that the replacement for "~" will only work if you assing the url to an asp.net webcontrol (asp:image), it will not work is you use regular html img tags.

On the Module Localization Guide there's a short sample of this.
