I am upgrading an old website that runs on 3.x .  I would like to keep the content but delete all the users/members except for host and admin, of course.  The database is so out of date it's worth starting from scratch.  There are about 8000 entries in the user db.  What's the easiest way to do this, please.

deleting all users is difficult, as most modules store references to the users (created by, last updated by). you need a strategy, how to solve this first.

I don't think this will be a problem as we have never really used the "members" for anything other then a mailing list.  We have no member created content.  On this website we use DNN to simply deliver content.
