I wanted to add my Google AdSense code to the DNN 4.x portal but that does not seem to be working. I added a regular Text/HTML module then edited it in Rich Text Mode. Subsequently I switched to the Source mode and there I entered all the Google markup.

However when the module displays, it is totally empty even though the markup still shows in the "source" view.

Try putting the code in the Header field under Module Settings

I just removed it from the text (used the Edit Text) functionality. Then I proceeded as shown here which I believe is what you mean:

  1. Logged in as administrator and chose the page where the Google Ad Text/HTML module is "deployed"
  2. Selected the Text/HTML module with title "Google Ads" (that was the title I gave to this module on hat page)
  3. On the left side of the module's title there is a small triangle, when I hover it a context menu appears with many options
  4. Chose the "Settings" option of the Text/HTML module titled "Google Ads"
  5. Expanded the "Advanced Settings" section of the module settings.
  6. In the "Header" text field I pasted all of the Google Ads code
  7. Clicked on Update

The module still does not display the Google Ads, I have the same Google Ads code in some other pages (outside DNN) and it works quite fine there, but on DNN it just does not dsplay anything.

What you described is exactly what I meant. I can't understand why it wouldn't work.

I'd be happy to give you another set of eyes on the actual page that you are trying to do this on if you want to give me link.

Hi Jon, here is the link: http://www.virtual-aviation.info/dnn/Home/ContactUs/tabid/54/Default.aspx

as you see the Google Ads box on the rignt pane is empty :( but if you do "View Source" you will notice that the Google AdSense code is there. So I just don't know why it is not been rendered as such.
