Again, I want to thank you for providing a wonderful forum module. I am very pleased with the features you have provided and appreciate the opportunity to provide feedback.

I know this sounds a little confusing. I'll do my best to explain it. Basically, I have a large number of un-moderated forums. Each forum allows users to post immediately, but their posts may be edited, deleted or moved after they have been posted. You might call this "lazy moderation". Currently, the moderation capability only allows an administrator to do the post moderation activities, unless you make the forum moderated. In other words, I cannot set another account as a moderator on an un-moderated forum.

I would like to be able to delegate these moderation activities to other members, but not have to give them administrative permissions to other areas of the site. Of all the features I would love to have, this one would be on the top of my list. If there is another way to do this without modifying the core forum module, please let me know. I have thought long and hard about it, but I couldn't come up with a workaround. I thought about making my forums moderated and perhaps having an automatic "set user to trusted" type of thing, but I am not sure that is appropriate.

Any thoughts around this would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have added a Global Moderator option.  This is done per user and allows users to act as a moderator in all forums including unmoderated ones.

Thank you very much. This will be a very big feature in my book and will save me a considerable amount of time.
