Hi

I am new to DNN, and have just got a DNN4 solution up and running locally. I am working toward creating some custom modules. I started working thru the Developers Guide, but on page 14 it states:

"In the BuildSupport project in the <app root>\Solutions\DotNetNuke.DesktopModules\BuildSupport add a reference...".

The code I downloaded (DNN4.0.2) did not have the Solutions folder, or the BuildSupport project.

I am guessing that the structure of DNN4 is different than that of DNN3 (when the guide was written) correct?

What is the process for creating a DNN4 control?

I believe you are right and that the developers guide has not been updated to the latest DNN 4.

Module creation is easier (but different!) in DNN4 than DNN3.  Try the following link - it is not quite finished, but very helpful:
