Hi,

I downloaded the 4.5.3 install for DNN.

Now I dont know what to do or where to begin. The files were unzipped and now I have a folder full of files with which I know not what to do. I read the documentation for installation? I'm lost

I'd start by reading the DotNetNuke Installation Guide.pdf file in the DOCS download from the Downloads page.

You can also check out the Resources top level Navigation here on DotNetNuke.com

Who is your hosting with? There are some tutorials (step-by-step) for godaddy. If you want I can point those out for you. If another hosting service, use google to search for "install dtonetnuke hostname".

Hi,

try this, download DotNetNuke_04.04.01_Setup.zip, run the setup file, it's automated, once done, download 4.5.3 upgrade, and follow the documentation instructions for upgrading.

I find this to be the easiest way for ME to install DNN

Make sure you have IIS and sql server installed

Cheers and good luck

Julian
