Greetings:

I was attemping to add a custom control to a previously functioning  install of  DNN v3.2 and have now, apparently "broke" my install (I'm confined for the time being, to v3.X as I'm using Visual Studio '03 with the 1.1 framework).

Anyway, I believe I had backed-out all my code and folders, but still get the below error message upon navigating to http://localhost/DotNetNuke/ and I'm not exactly sure how to correct the issue or interpret this message.  I'm not even sure if it is DNN.  My install compiles w/o errors in VS '03.

Any and all guidance or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'd start by checking in the BIN folder, do you have a DotNetNuke.Caching.BroadcastPollingCachingProvider.SQLDataPr.DLL file in there? Perhaps a DotNetNuke.Caching.BroadcastPollingCachingProvider.SQLDataProvider.DLL file instead?

Did you modify the web.config at all when you installed your module? I don't have any 3.* code in front of me to check which files actually exist in a clean install.

Greetings:

Thanks Christoc, for your advice.  I attempted to replace the dll's for that service but didn't clear-up the issue.  After awhile, I just decided to perform an upgrade (fr 3.3.2 to 3.3.7).  That task was successful...I've got my install functioning again with the newer version.

However, it appears to have locked me out...my login doesn't work anymore.  Any ideas on how to manually reset that?

I'm getting there...one file at a time.

Thanks in advance for any and all guidance/advice.

Ok, I was able to get my Host logon capability again by tweaking a regular user logon account I created via the backend.

Thanks all.
