I know many of you guys will take a website and convert it to DNN.  I have done this for several big websites already, and the #1 issue is the existing links that people have in their favorites, search engine links, etc.  So, I created a plan for this.  It was a very simple plan to support 404 pages with IIS, and a module that will return a 404 code, show a custom error to the end user, OR.... Redirect it to the correct DNN page.

I put the module on snowcovered for $10 bucks.  I spent the time making it, whats your time worth?

http://www.snowcovered.com/Snowcovered2/Default.aspx?tabid=242&PackageID=7640r=7955725ffc

Instructions on its usage can be found on that page.  If you dont want the module, a very handy, non redirecting or 404 status code module can be created for free:  http://badassride.com/Blog/tabid/358/EntryID/11/Default.aspx

Enjoy!

Very nice module.  This was exactly what I was looking for.  I will be purchasing this module and looking forward to the tracking feature.

Thanks for posting this.
