Hi,

I finished Installing DNN version 4.05.01 in my local root folder and it worked. When I tried creating a new portal and try to click on the "Click Here to Access Your Portal" link, this error appeared.

What did i miss? I already included the DNN folder on the Virtual Directory. I'm running Windows XP, IIS 5.1.

Need help please.

Did you give it an application name (hit the 'Create' button) in the properites of the Virtual Directory?

make sure, that dotnetnuke (website folder, if using source version) is installed into the root folder of your virtual directory.

hi,

I already got it running but when I tried to login this error appeared:

Unhandled Error

Error Details

File
Error   Failed to update database "C:\INETPUB\WWWROOT\DOTNETNUKE_04.05.01_INSTALL\APP_DATA\DATABASE.MDF" because the database is read-only.

I check the App_Data Folder and found out that it is set to Read Only, I uncheked it and click on the apply it worked, but when I right clicked on the folder again, the Read Only checked is again enabled. What could have caused this?

Need help please.

Regards,

Bryan
