Hi,

This may have been answered before, but I can't find anthing!  I want to export my current repository and import that same data into a new, empty repository.

Can anyone please tell me how to do this?

Thanks,

Anna

You have to have version 3.01.12 or higher. Log in as an Admin user on go to the page with the Repository you want to export. On the action menu one of the options is Export Repository. Select that and follow the steps. Now go to the page that you want to import the Repository to. Add the Repository and then go to the action menu and select Import Repository and again follow the steps. You'll have to then go into the Settings and do some small configuration changes so that it matches what you had on the other page.

Will this allow you to export from repository on portal 'a' and import it into a repository on portal 'b'?

As long as it's under the same DNN install it should work It may require some background tweaking after the export/import is done.
