I have just installed the latest DNN 4.5 version under a separate domain on the same server in a separate folder. The installation was successfull. Now I need to migrate the existing portal from the old website that was running some version of DNN 2.x to the new version DNN 4.5. Do I just copy the contents of portal "0" of the old website inside the portal "0" of the new website? I have never done this before. I just want the new website to function like the old one, except the new website will be running on the latest DNN 4.5 version. I have also installed a new fresh database with the new DNN4.5 version, so I will have to transfer the missing data from the old database to the new one? right? Some one please guide me here and tell me what steps are involved in order to get the new website to function the same way the old did, except it will be running on the latest DNN4.5 version. This includes copying over all the modules from the old website. Thank you so much!!

Have you tried upgrading the 2.* site to 4.5.2? that's where I'd start as an upgrade should transfer/upgrade most of your data.

I'd do this in a test environment first though, back everything up, database and file system.
