Im new to dnn and i want to make a simple 6 page site. But i dont want a [content] page with dnn stuff or a [login] etc...  I just want my skin with a single module that i can edit text in.

I do not understand how would i edit the page without a login on the page?

If anyone could clear this up for me it would be great.

Thanks in advance

you don't have to put a logon token in your skin, you can always trigger a logon by using this url:  www.yourdomain.com/default.aspx?ctl=login

Yes!.... ok your Awesome

now if i wanted to add my own login module, not one where they log into dnn just for access to the 6 pages

would i use the standard login module? and can it integrate with the blog module?

You could certainly leave off the [Login] control. But without a login, how would the website know it was you coming in?

You could make it so ANYONE could edit the site, but then you'd soon get hacked by the Baltic Mob and make your hoster mad at you for some reason.

You can also put the login control on a special page (i.e. www.mysite.com/login.aspx) that (under page settings) tells it not to be put into the menu structure -- so no one but you knows about it. That would also allow you to leave the [login] control off all the 'public' pages.

Is that more of what you were thinking of?

you don;t have to do anything, the logon will show even if you didnt put it on any page. In fact, thats the easiest setup. It will "integrate" with all dnn modules, so also with the blog module. It will not integrate in the sense that you will see a logon in the blog module, but once you are logged on, you can do anything you want with any module, including your blog module
