actually that sounds exactly what i want to do. Except i want the Login page on the first page www.mysite.com and the rest of the site blocked until they enter the correct password. Im guessing I will create a

Page Content and Login Content template where the login has the [Login] module and the content does not but how do i specify that anyone can view the Login page but only registered viewers can view the content pages?

 

Apologize for all the questions it's all kinda new to me.

Several things are available to experiment with:

- On every page's settings you can show the page to only certain roles, such as Everyone (i.e. signed in or not) or Registered Users (registered AND signed in). This is perhaps all you need, to simply allow only those folks who have signed in to see anything but the home page. Hidden pages also do not show up in the menus.

- You can control the visibility of individual modules on a page in the same way (under module settings though) - but this is generally somewhat tedious to do on anything but a few pages I suspect.

- Finally check out Site Settings (under the Admin menu) which can force crtain pages to be the home page or the splash page or the "you've logged in" page.
