Wow, the Image Focus module and this one are very cool. I hope you'll take a look into making the Sigma Pro Draconis more user friendly.

Cheers!

Thanks!  All modules are being improved to deliver a "kick".  New versions of Scrolling Text and the SigmaLive modules will be released this week with a new version of Nuke t miss it.  The project wizard will also get its share of improvements as well.

In regards to making SigmaPro more user friendly, what areas would you like to see improved?

OK... originally I had a lot to add to your reply but most of it keeps getting removed, so I've given up on trying to find out what key words triggered it.

Maybe it's Nuke.   I'll try one more time...

Thanks!  All modules are being improved to deliver a "kick".  New versions of Scrolling Text and the SigmaLive modules will be released this week with a new version of Nuke A l e r t not too far after that.

SigmaPro is definitly on the list and it's the largest project at this time.  There are some features being removed, but due to the feedback received these features won't be missed.   Newer additions will include a lot of new Windows Mobile tools, Microsoft Project integration as well as tools for Microsoft Office 2007.  The improvements to the user interface and concentration on the ease of use are massive.

There will also be improvements on the setup of SigmaPro with a new wizard to walk you through the most common solutions.   Which is going to eliminate the need for the current "Quick Start" screen but you won't miss it.  The project wizard will also get its share of improvements as well.

In regards to making SigmaPro more user friendly, what areas would you like to see improved?

I'm not a programmer by any means, so I won't know all of the "inside stuff" below the surface of the modules I'm using. I won't also know how challenging it is to design them user-friendly. However, as a (quite) experienced DNN user, I do appreciate your efforts in developing such robust module. But others, well, I'm quite confident that they do not even care about them. That's why module developers need to view their modules through end-users perspectives. Only when accomplishing this, you can succeed.

Now, as to the Sigma Pro Draconis suggestions, some members and I wrote reviews about it in this thread. I'm sure they'll be willing to contribute their ideas if you continue the topic directly inside it; besides, you surely won't like your thread be moved to another Forum either. Personally, after getting used to using Draconis, I did feel quite comfortable. But it may be better if you build a wizard which will guide us through the rest of the setup process. For example, clicking it will send us to a page "What do u want to create? --> 1.Help Desk; 2.Project Management; 3.CRM;....". After that, the setting up must be as simple as possible. Some time ago I read an interesting article in Technology Review which said something like this : beautifully designs are those that show up in front of their users very simply but do not reduce their features at all. Linux and Apple are good examples.

I've been quite wordy, but  it's all of my suggestions after all. Hope you'll succeed with your modules.

Best regards,
Duc

P.S : I think you should change your site's skin as well. Must be a professional, sharp and impressive design. For these criteria, take a look at Nukeville skins.
