NorthernRoad is proud to announce the availability of Holidays 1.1.  New in this version is full localization support.  This module is designed to aggregate the chore of managing formally observed holidays for your business.  Administrators can establish one or more named holidays, specify how they should be observed each year (such as "3rd Monday in January", or "Last Monday in May", or "Nearest Weekday to January 1st", and the module will maintain the observed date for any selected year.  Users may serve themselves at any time by selecting the year of interest from the dropdown list, and the module will show the dates of all named holidays for that year.  Establish the holiday once, and eliminate the chore of having to update a list each year.  Other features include:

• Integration with the core Announcements module, so administrators can manage announcements for a holiday (particularly one that your community tends to forget) for all instances of the Announcements module in one convenient location.  See at a glance how many places you have the announcement already, and where else it might need to go to notify users of the upcoming observance of a holiday.
• Integration with the core Events module, allowing management of all instances of Event calendars and lists on your site.  This feature functions exactly as the Announcements integration, detailed above.
• Compatible with DNN 4.x (requires .NET 2.0)
