I have developed a dynamic flash module,i want to check if the user has flash installed or not.If flash installed normal flash will play, otherwise i want to show something else on this module(Say some non-Flash thing).I have done the Flash detection using Javascript(for Mozilla and other browsers) and Vbscript(for IE)--references http://www.quirksmode.org/js/flash.html. I have checked particularly in IE that no Flash Object is ever created with Vbscript even if flash installed. So i never know about Flash and always a non-flash version runs.

I have tried the same script in my other TestProject(asp.net v1.1) and it works fine here.

Is it some restriction of dotnenuke? Or am i doing something wrong?

I have included the script in view usercontrol.

I am using dotnetnuke4.0.1,starter kit,asp.net2.0.

Thanks

Amit
