Alan, you're admin on www.regordane.fr with user / user authentication

I've placed an events module below the calendar to compare the dates behavior

Alan, I would not dare bother you if I had the least doubt that the problem could on my side, or related to french only.

I've just spent 1 hour on the phone with David, my co-admin of dotnetnuke.fr

He is on a dev site under DNN 4.0.2 and AvC 3.20.0 and gets the same problem. We have been suspecting  a problem with the javascript date picker. If you do not type a title and change the start date, you get a javascript error when the script copies the start date into the end date. I do not know if this is related to the insert problem.

Error is line 230, car 3, 'null' has a Null value or is not an object

Code: 0

Would you publish an intermediate version with a text box instead of the date/time picker ? I feel like it would help everybody find out what's wrong there.

Thanks

Benoit Sarton

Ok.  I tried to reproduce the error on my dev version and could not....can you detail the steps you took to creat the error...i.e. 1) selected "Add Event" 2) enter the Start date... and/or drop screen shots on me.  support@avanced.net

This will help me to re-create the problem hopefully...also, I do not know the user/pw for the admin on your site...I probably won't need this if I can re-create the problem on my dev machine.

Thanks Benoit,
   Alan

Alan has found a solution that solves our problem inserting events due to date formats (see below). I also found that 'SET DATEFORMAT myd' can be specified as a replacement for 'SET LANGUAGE us_english' with the same positive result.

Benoit Sarton

<Quote Alan :>

add the statement "SET LANGUAGE us_english" to the "CalendarSave" Stored Proc at the top (just after the AS) ex:

@ReminderFrom nvarchar(100)

)

AS

SET LANGUAGE us_english

IF @EventID = 0 OR @EventID IS NULL

INSERT dnn_Calendar

Just uploaded a new Beta version of the Calendar.  Please visit my site (www.avanced.net) and give it a try...be sure and look at the Read.Me in the Private Assembly before installation/upgrade.  Also, please provide any feedback at this forum.

Thanks,
   Alan

Great job, the timezone issues are gone (at least for me).  Is the source code going to be release in the near future?  Two things that I want to add (or you can if you like) are 1) option of displaying the timezone info as I don't need it and 2) adding a module level setting to allow the date and time formats to be specified.

Thanks,
Rob
