help

I need to install this module on my company's intranet, which is DNN 3.3.7.   Because of things beyond my control, I can't upgrade DNN 4.4 right now. I am willing to make changes to get this running on 3.3.7.  I would like to know the best way to  go about this.  After adding the module to the page, I am getting the following error:

Error: Wiki is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Parser Error: Could not load type 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Wiki.Router'. ---> System.Web.HttpParseException: Parser Error: Could not load type 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Wiki.Router'. ---> System.Web.HttpException: Could not load type 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Wiki.Router'. at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.GetType(String typeName, Boolean ignoreCase) at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ProcessMainDirective(IDictionary mainDirective) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControlParser.ProcessMainDirective(IDictionary mainDirective) at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ProcessDirective(String directiveName, IDictionary directive) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControlParser.ProcessDirective(String directiveName, IDictionary directive) at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ParseStringInternal(String text) at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ParseString(String text, String virtualPath, String basePhysicalDir) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ParseString(String text, String virtualPath, String basePhysicalDir) at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ParseFile(String filename, String virtualPath) at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.Parse() at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.GetParserCacheItemThroughCompilation() at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.GetParserCacheItemInternal(Boolean fCreateIfNotFound) at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.GetParserCacheItemWithNewConfigPath() at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.GetParserCacheItem() at System.Web.UI.TemplateControlParser.CompileAndGetParserCacheItem(String virtualPath, String inputFile, HttpContext context) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControlParser.GetCompiledType(String virtualPath, String inputFile, HttpContext context) at System.Web.UI.UserControlParser.GetCompiledUserControlType(String virtualPath, String inputFile, HttpContext context) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(String virtualPath) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Skin.InjectModule(Control objPane, ModuleInfo objModule, PortalSettings PortalSettings) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Any information would be helpful

I would recommend looking at the KTomics Wiki module if you need 3.* support for the Wiki module. Otherwise you're going to have to download the source package and convert it from VS2k5 to VS2k3 and recompile it.

Thanks for your quick response.  I'll try the KTomics Wiki first because I'm still green on compiling the source packages. :)  I'll post my results as soon as I can

Chris,

The KTomics Wiki is not available for download anymore.  I tried downloading the source and compiling it.  Is there documentation on how to do this?  I have unzipped the source into the DesktopModules directory of my local copy of DNN 3.3.7.  I opened up VS 2005 and tried build the site.  Now I'm getting errors that there are indirect references is being made to assembly DNN 4.4.1.  Ok.  What step am I missing or is it even possible to compile for DNN 3.3.7 in VS2005.  I can't find a way to download VS2003 to try it that way.  Can you help me please?

You'll need to modify the project references inside the source code to point to your DNN 3.3.7 DLLs instead of the 4.4.1 dlls which it will be looking for.
