running dnn 4.5.3

on my home page (the page that comes up with http://<domainname>.com) i have a account login module set to be visible by unauthenticated users.  the rest of the page is set to be visible by registered users, and in the past this worked great in that site users saw the main content while non-site users only saw a login box (that went away after they logged in).

the problem now is (after upgrading to dnn 4.5.3 that is) the page title doesn't appear as it should for unauthenticated users (crawlers included).  i'm getting "User Log In" as the page title (not the name that is configured in the page settings).  once a user logs in, the title appears as expected, but this is undesired behavior, especially since the crawlers will index the title as 'User Log In'.

any thoughts / fixes?

bumping...  this is now being reflected in the search engine results for the home page as the title, which is bad!  is this a bug?

i've now tried upgrading to 4.5.5 and still see the same issue.

any page that has the Account Login module on it that is viewed by an unregistered user will have 'User Log In' as the page title and not the configured page title.  once a user logs in the configured page title appears.

this becomes the title in search results too (ie google, yahoo, etc),

i maintain that this is a pretty poor experience.  i realize this could be worked around by forcing the user to click on the 'login' button in order to get to a login prompt, but the site design calls for a login module to be always present when the user is not logged in.

can someone speak to whether this is considered an official bug and will be fixed?  or is there some other workaround that i'm not considering?

thanks in advance...

I've got the same concern. Is there a way for me to change this myself? Thanks for any help.

This is the way Account Login works.

You can use http://mydomain.com/Admin/Security/Logoff.aspx link to logoff "manually"

The simplest way around it is to try and use (at your own risk) locopon.com free MMLogin module.
