Noticed this issue since a couple of builds ago. Right now i'm using DNN 4.5.5, but the error persists.

I write custom modules for DNN and also have a web service implementation that is connected to the DNN authentication system. Apart from that, the rest of the code is custom. So. Here's the problem. Before having this issue, i could just rebuild the whole website dirrectly from the VS IDE once i made any sort of change (be it to the web service, which resides in the App_Code directory, so any change to it required a complete rebuild) or to the ascx files (DNN modules).

After this issue started showing up in VS, after building the project again, not only would it not build, but it also crashed the rest of the website, so IIS would throw the same error when opening up the page. Funny bit comes here: to fix this issue, i would need to replace the core files with the upgrade files (although they're the same version), and let IIS do the build itself on the first call to the website. Surprisingly, IIS builds the website fine, but VS simply won't.


Any ideas ?
