I am trying to install the DNN 4.5.3 Starter Kit. The file I downloaded is DotNetNuke_04.05.03_StarterKit.zip. The files install successfully, but when I open Visual Studio 2005 with SP1 installed, the starter kit does not show up. I am choosing "new web site" using visual basic as the language. When I uninstall SP1, then it shows up. I just rebuilt and installed Windows XP (all service packs and critical updates installed), IIS, ASP.NET 2.0, Visual Studio 2005 with SP1, SQL 2005 express edition (and all service packs) and SQL 2005 managment studio express. Is there an issue with SP1?

I'm having a similar problem.

Just installed 04.05.03 starter kit on an xp workstation with both VS 2003 and 2005.  Not sure about the sp1 upgrade for 05.

The kit doesn't appear in VS2005.

 

Please advise!!!!  Dangit!!!

I have the same problem. Windows XP, VS2005 SP1. Did somebody resolve this problem?

I have the same problem with DNN 4.5.5 Starter Kit.

Just move the files in .../Visual Web Developper/VisualBasic folder to .../Visual Basic/Web folder and the files in .../Visual Web Developper/CSharp folder to .../Visual C#/Web folder in both .../Visual Studio 2005/Templates/ItemTemplates and .../Visual Studio 2005/Templates/ProjectTemplates folders.
