This is by Design.  At time there is only one way.  Diabable over a SQL script all Moderation Mail in the userprofile.  Then enable manual this fr the users with Moderation permission.

Hi Matthias,

I tried to disable it on the Database but didn't find the field of the flag. Can you say me what table and what field it is? I thought the field EnableModNotification in the table Forum_Users but this didn't work.

By the way: In my opinion this shouldn't be set enabled by default. It generates many mails that are not really wished.

Have you heard any solution to your problem?  I have the same issue where all my forum users have the "Enable Moderator Emails" flag nailed up.  What table and field in the database does this control map to?

THis only happens if the user is somehow associated with moderation. This can happen if they have edit permissions at the module level, or global moderator permissions at the module level. The other way is per forum, and they are in a role that has moderator checkbox checked in the forum permissions grid. If this were not the case, all of you would receive the moderation emails on this site.
