I would like to have a site supporting Multiple Languages with different Directions (RTL or LTR). How can we have:

1- Intelligent and Dynamic site-direction, for example when user selects Persian or Arabic (RTL languages) site content be displayed by RTL, and when he/she selects Enlish or French (LTR languages) site content be displayed from Left-To-Right.

2- We can localize Admin and Host menus and when user switched from one language to another one these menus also will be displayed in the second language, but if I add my personal menu there is no way to translate it to the second language, for example I created a new menu Item named "My New Page" in English and now I would like when user selects French language from the Language DropDownList, the added menu also automatically be translated to "Ma Page Nouvelle".

3- Having some part of a page in different direction than default direction, for example in a LTR page, having a menu with RTL direction.

Thanks so much.

Saeedalhs,

First an answer to your second item: DNN does not currently support ML (MultiLanguage or MultiLingual) Portals. You will need 3rd party products. The most popular are Locopon's (http://dnn.tiendaboliviana.com) and Apollo's (http://www.apollo-software.nl), with the advantage that both Mauricio (Locopon) and Eric (Apollo) belong to Dnn's Core Team. There are other 3rd party providers, of which I have only checked PortalFabrik (http://www.portalfabrik.net).

Now, for the 1st item: I think the best way to do that is having a different set of pages for each language, and then setting a proper skin configuration for each page (two skins, one for each language). And then... try the DSLocalizator from Locopon which allows to hide and show pages based on the selected locale.

The 3rd item: Same as previous, but managing the skin performance at a container level, and hiding and showing Modules (you will now need at least two set of containers, one for each language).

Saludos,
Alejandro.
