I am new to DNN and Web Portals.  I saw a couple of microsoft web casts on DNN version 2.12 last week.  I thought I would download it and play around.  I've having problems and am getting this error:

I only want to use DotNetNuke to "play" so I can become a little more familiar with Portal Technology.  The Microsoft Web Cast that I viewed last week was on version 2.12.  I didn't want to have to mess around with SQL until I have to.  I am not a programmer or software developer.

The webcast made it look VERY simple.  But I guess I still don't understand where/how a database fits into the whole scheme of things.

I really do need help for dummies!
