Hello, I recently created my first DNN website.  It has a search input built into the menu by default.  When I try to do a search it always shows nothing in search results.  I've tried to enter "key words" on all my pages.  I've also went to "Host-Search Admin" and Re-Indexed content.  What am I doing wrong?  This is not intuitive.

check the search tables, if indexing was successful and try to clear the tables before re-indexing (see http://www.deutschnetnuke.de/tabid/134/Default.aspx for instructions)

thanks, I tried the SQL command and did not work.  In fact I had to re-create a search page with a search results module after the tables were cleared.

Where do I check search tables?  Is there something more fundemental that I am not doing.

Until recently I didn't even had the search module enabled on my site, since I was either getting no results or the wrong ones.

I used the script posted here: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/112/threadid/152191/scope/posts/Default.aspx and it made the search useable again. Maybe that will help you too.

my script above only affected the search tables, not the setup of the module. Always make sure there is exactly one Search Results module installation (including the recycle bin!)
