no such luck ... I removed all instances of "Search Results" and emptied the recycle bin.  I'm using DNN 3.3.7.  Perhaps that is part of the problem.

interesting ... I created another DNN website from scratch with very little mods and tried a search right out of the box.  Nothing.  I then went to Host-Search Admin and re-indexed content and still nothing.  Seems like I have a trivial module setting or something that is escaping me or else my hosting services is limiting my database rights or something.
