I have been browsing around to find out how to make your own templates (skins) without luck. I'm wondering what needs to be done, do I have to do some programing other than HTML? what files do I need to edit if I want to experiment with standart skins. Could any one point me in the right direction?

Hello,

If you look in the skinning documentation that comes with DNN this will point you in the right direction.

Here you can find other resources for free skinning tutorials

I've also recently created 16 Skinning video tutorials which walks you through the entire process of creating a skin using Visual Web Developer Express (VWD is available as a free download).

The process of creating a skin is relatively simple. If you understand HTML you should be able to create a skin no problems. If you look at the DNN skins that come with DNN you can use these as a starting point.

Hopefully these resources should give you a starting point,

Thanks,
